Red Hot Valentine’s Wedding Shoes

Written By: Wincilla Edwards - Feb• 11•11

As Valentine is in the air, there was no choice but to yet again continue with this unavoidable romantic theme.  Today I’ve picked some of  the most audacious and sassy red shoes for your valentine inspiration.  I know I will hear no complaints, for what girl wouldn’t swoon over a pair of fabulous shoes, especially when they are ‘red hot and sassy‘.

I couldn’t just showcase the shoes without showing how elegant and beautiful your feet will look in red.  Shoe No.6 and Shoe No.7 are Luichiny Shoes, these shoes have a signature red heart on the bottom, which I think is so cute, because when you bear your soles you bear your heart. How Sweet!

Nostalgic Vintage Charm

Written By: Wincilla Edwards - Jan• 28•11

Nostalgia for the good old days, has seen an emergence for all things vintage in the wedding arena.  True vintage celebrations can be quite expensive. But don’t be daunted, your dreams can still be realized.  Simply lace it up!

Lace can give anything a vintage touch.  You can make your day really special too, by imitating your dress lace pattern in your wedding cake, and hand painted champagne flutes, adding lace trimmings to your wedding invitations, and incorporating old rose pattern china from your flea market hunts into your table-setting.

Red & Pink Valentine Wedding

Who says that Valentines has to be all about red and white? I happen to love this red and pink combination, and think its quite a romantic charm.  The linens and courtyard display done by WildFlower Linen captures this charm magnificently. The soft feminine pink and bold amorous red makes the perfect marriage.

So think outside the box when planning your special day, spice things up a bit.   You can share the love with your bridal party by gifting them with special rosebud hand painted wine glasses.  Your guest too can share in the love with these  hand painted rose wine glass favors. But most of all make sure you are stepping high and loving it in pumps like these by Christian Louboutin.

Honeysuckle Pink 2011 Color of the Year

Written By: Wincilla Edwards - Jan• 14•11

As many of you may already know Pantone has announce Honeysuckle Pink as the wedding color trend of the year for 2011.  Recently I came across this fabulous representation of a Honeysuckle Themed Wedding Inspiration done by Michelle Mospens of My Personal Artist.

Honeysuckle Pink, Mocha Taupe, + Pistachio Green Color Combo

I absolutely love the color combinations. Don’t you?  The roses paired with the khaki gives a soft but none understated elegance. Ooh and I just love the feeling of freshness the pistachio green and khaki exudes.

I think that this hand painted champagne flute painted over a year ago when the company name was Eddies Hand Painted Things is a great compliment to this honeysuckle pink theme.

The Orchid Perfection Wedding

Written By: Wincilla Edwards - Jan• 07•11

Oh the charm, the elegance, and the beauty of the orchid! It has long enchanted us, since the days of the ancient greeks when it was ardently sort after for virility. Today it represents perfection, strength, love, luxury, and wealth. Known as the Royal Family of Plants and most evocative of flowers no wonder it has become the preferred wedding flower of choice.

Here are some inspiring ways of infusing the luxurious perfection of the orchid into your special day.

The Center of Attention

I’m just in awe at these stunning orchid masterpieces by the maestro himself Preston Bailey.

Dress The Part

Here it’s all about the details - fresh orchids for the hair, and ooh…stylish orchid hand painted shoes, a stunning modern orchid bouquet, and adorable orchid boutonnieres.

Celebrate in Style

Of course there can be no celebration without a toast and cake. Even your wine glasses can be hand painted and personalized with an orchid design.  Don’t forget the napkins! These make a statement, adorned in orchid charm.  Can you tell? I just couldn’t decide which cake I liked best. What fabulous decadence!

A Parisian Wedding Affair

Written By: Wincilla Edwards - Dec• 23•10

I have been married now for almost 19 years and I wondered if I had to do it all over again what would it be like.  Where would it take place?  It has been difficult to decide since I have two loves – Tuscany and Paris.  In the end Paris won out, I just could not resist the lure of a romantic affair in Paris in the summertime.  Here’s how I see it.

I had fun putting this board together, it took me just about half of an hour.  So hurry!  Submit your boards for the contest only 7 days left.  You have to be in it to win it!
